Alone you stand, watching over your lands from up high, from break of day till the awakening moon at night. Through the cold winter months and warm welcome springs, old Goldhorn gives thanks to ye. You the highest peak of the mountain range, mightiest mountain I hope will never change. Triglav, many thanks to thee, for safe passage through your land as I travel to the top of your peak. The trees do sway and twirl of your legend forever, the mighty buck, from whom your flowers grew from its blood. "Neumno lovec iskali zaklad in ustrelil Zlatoroga, vendar je porabljeni svoje cvetje, ki mu je dal novo življenje. (The foolish hunter sought treasure and shot Goldhorn, yet he consumed your flowers that gave him new life.) Torej je lovec umorjen s slepega preskušanja rogovi Zlatoroga je, in tako je padel iz neprizanesljiva gora Triglav. Njegovo truplo počiva večnost v Vale pozabe. " (So then the hunter was slain by Goldhorn's blinding horns, and so he fell from your unforgiving peak, Triglav. His corpse shall rest for eternity in the vale of oblivion.) I bow to the mountain Of the pagan ones In the shadow of the peak I am of the devil's sons. Like the king's majesty Rising above Or The king's crown Triglav's might thereof. I look to the sky To the birds who sing Flying over Triglav Riding the wind's wings. (Lyrics by Spectre, except last three verses by Svjatoslav; spoken parts translated into Slovenian by Svjatoslav).

The Long and Dark Winter Night (Solistial Serenade) The wind sibilantly sings tonight For the winter solstice has arrived The day is tired and the night has awoken in the sky Darkness my betrothed The black gate has now closed Ered Lithui is covered in frost Obscuring Gorgoroth Veles rules the firmament Veiled beneath The eye of Sauron This wintry night in the Balkans In sempiternity, everlastingly The darkness covers the heavens And the snow covers the ground The cold air, the cold earth below In the circle we are benighted with silent sound.

She hides away from most who wander  Through the forestry, her sanctuary A fairy who sits and waits to play  When the sun sets and the day fades to grey  Where the nymphs once dwelled  With the wolves near the gates to Hell Where the twilight of the gods segued into the dawn of a new age Where time immemorial ceased  And was slain, only to be reborn again  There, the fairy shall play,  In the Meadow's shadow  Obscured from impurity  Her raison d'être: divine muliebrity   As she dances through the bushes Between the trees Under the stars  Kissed by the moonlight's gleam.

(Lyrics in Karelian language) Ižä Karjala,  Konza Kuolema keskiyö Kera sinä Tämä päivä Kuolema keskiyössa Ta suuri kuu Minä Tappua jumala  Ta paluo hiän suonet tuhkalla Kera myö  olla hengis  kui vellil. Ta Eliä pitkä  Kera sinun ilma Ta sinun Hyväaini Kevät Ta sinun Levie meččy sygyzyssä Ta sinun heinä Ta sinun kukka Ta sinun jogi,  Kera äijä suuri talvi kuu  Ta vuozi etähänä.  Intended English translation: Father Karelia When midnight dies, With you On this day At midnight's death and moon high I will Kill God and burn his entrails Into ashes In the spirit of our brotherhood. And May you Live long With your air And your beautiful spring And your vast forests of autumn And your grasses And flowers And rivers Through mighty winter's months And the years far beyond. [O, beautiful Karelia!]

about

Music originally recorded December 2016-January 2017. Originally meant to be part of a split which never materialized (and probably never will, but, digression).

This album is dedicated to the late Boss of Black Mark, and Martin Eric Ain of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. May they both Rest In Peace.
